About the Role

Job Description:
As our Mechanical Technician, you will:
Provide technical support and hands-on maintenance for power station plant and equipment
Ensure reliability and efficiency across a diverse range of assets
Perform routine and breakdown maintenance
Troubleshoot faults and coordinate work parties
Support continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to plant performance and reliability
Manage work activities in accordance with Safe Work Systems and compliance standards
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
Participate in on-call rosters and outage projects

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Trade or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or recognised equivalent)

  • Currently completing Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering welcome to apply

  • Hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in:

    • Power stations

    • Refineries

    • Smelters

    • Wash plants

    • Gas plants

    • Heavy industry environments

  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical aptitude

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and plant data

  • Adaptable to changing industry requirements

  • Proactive approach to improving plant performance

  • Collaborative team player

  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance

  • Efficient workload management

  • Willing to participate in on-call rosters

  • Keen to support and mentor others
