About the Role
As a Vegetation Management Field Team Member, you will:
Work on a variety of land conservation projects across the Western Downs region
Perform chemical spraying of roadsides and protected areas
Conduct weed control activities
Participate in revegetation planting projects
Undertake maintenance activities for conservation sites
Work outdoors in various weather conditions
Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently
Contribute to environmental protection and land management initiatives
This is a fully field-based role requiring resilience and a positive attitude. Ongoing mentoring and support will be provided to help you achieve your career goals and grow your passion for land management.
Compensation and Benefits:
$30 – $36 per hour

Additional Notes:
Most projects located around Dalby, Chinchilla, and Toowoomba
Local candidates preferred
Pre-employment medical check required
Drug and alcohol screening required

Requirements
Essential:
General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Ability to pass police check and regular drug and alcohol screening
Mature attitude, responsible, and able to work unsupervised
Physically fit and willing to undertake labour-intensive work
Reliable, hardworking, and committed to strong safety culture
Current Australian driver's licence
Willing to undergo pre-employment medical check
Highly Regarded (Not Essential):
Certificate in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, or similar
Experience or interest in identifying native flora and invasive species
Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) Accreditation
Relevant tickets or experience operating and maintaining equipment (mowers, chainsaws, brush-cutters)
Experience with land rehabilitation methods (bush regeneration)
